🏛️ What are the temple visiting hours and guidelines?

Most Jain temples are open daily with morning darshan from 5:30 AM to 12:00 PM and evening darshan from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Please dress modestly, remove shoes before entering, maintain silence during prayers, and avoid bringing leather items, non-vegetarian food, or alcohol. Photography may be restricted in certain areas – please ask temple staff for guidance.

We offer multiple learning opportunities: weekly study circles, online courses through our 24Tirthankaras.org network, temple libraries with authentic texts, guided meditation sessions, and mentorship programs with experienced community members. Our youth programs are specially designed for different age groups and learning levels.

Our community offers numerous volunteer opportunities: temple maintenance, educational program assistance, charity drives, environmental conservation projects, elderly care services, youth mentoring, and organizing cultural events. Contact your local temple coordinator or fill out our volunteer interest form to get started.

Absolutely! Jain temples welcome visitors of all backgrounds who come with respect and genuine interest. Non-Jains can participate in cultural programs, educational sessions, community service activities, and meditation classes. We encourage interfaith dialogue and are happy to explain our traditions and answer questions.

Jains follow a strict vegetarian diet based on the principle of Ahimsa (non-violence). We avoid all meat, fish, eggs, and certain vegetables like potatoes, onions, and garlic that involve uprooting plants. Many Jains also avoid eating after sunset and practice periodic fasting for spiritual purification.

We accept donations for various causes: temple maintenance, educational scholarships, healthcare initiatives, disaster relief, environmental projects, and community welfare programs. Donations can be made online, by check, or in person at temple offices. All donations are tax-deductible and transparently managed.
